The process of printing the labels and J-cards, cutting the artwork, recording the cassettes and mastering them is done manually by myself, so this is not a mass-produced article but instead a small piece of art, which was put together with a lot of effort.
The cassette is labeled on both sides, just like the J-card. Every piece will have it's own serial number.

The "Haunted By Reality"-EP is the biggest EP by "Diamond Incarnation" so far, including six brand new songs and it is also the first EP to be released in physical form of a C-30 cassette, for all the retro-lovers and people still owning a good old cassette deck.
This EP, compared to other releases, was recorded and mixed in quite a short duration of about three months, started in September of 2017.
Two of the songs, "A Loved One Fades" and "Restless Heartbeat", were actually first meant to be featured on the "Menglongshi (朦朧詩) EP, but due to their early production stages at that time and their contrariness to the other songs, left aside for almost a year.
Starting off with the first song called "Haunted By Reality", setting the mood for the rest of the EP, spreading winter-vibes, dealing with the coldness of winter and the feeling of being left alone in this sometimes depressing but beautiful season of the year.
"Iceberg", as some people may or may not hear, carries a "The Verve" inspired vibe and melancholy, which probably makes it the most gloomy track on the EP.
"Through The Snow" on the other hand, a quite delighted little song with a melody that could be stuck in your head for a while (at least this happened to me while recording it), trying to get you out of the misery again, while pondering about daily struggles and common emotions.
"Frostbite", just an upbeat song about relationships.
The last track "Restless Heartbeat" again is a lovesong too, not about a person in particular, but more about my personal wanderlust, mixed with nostalgia for certain places.

Similar to King Gizzard anything this band releases is pure gold. I remember finding them a couple of years ago during a not so eventful office day. I was instantly blown away, so as an avid "odd" music collector I did my research, and came to the conclusion that this is one of the greatest band of all time. I just wish I could get a physical copy. Oh well, one day I will.
